torq-a-verter on Bonanza

#1
I have a 1300 Bonanza and I am setting up a 5hp Briggs on it. I want to install a torq-a-verter and still use the jackshaft with the right hand drive wheel. Does anyone if this is possible? Any tips would be appreciated!

yes it possible(as long as there is clearance) what you do is put the driven on the jack shaft and lone it up best as possible with he driver on the engine, also you gonna need a longer belt for sure, there cheep though if you can find the size you need.

if you are using the aluminum backing plate it has to be notched to clear the jackshaft plate.... not sure if the tav30 steel plate will clear....

I did a 6 hp Tec with a TAV on my 1200 Bonanza.

Here's the key photo on how I made mine work.

There's an extensive thread with several more pics of the project on here somewhere, but it's way back there. Try to run a search and see if you can find it.

Good Luck

Mine works really good and even will easily wheelie upon application of full throttle from a stop.

I've got a short video that I'll post up if I can figure out how to isolate it in the file.
