anyone ever try this i just seen it on affordablegokarts web site and thay say to try gapping plug at .045REDUCE DRAG: Behind the recoil starter is a plastic fan that helps cool the engine. Cutting every other blade off of this fan will reduce drag and help free up some power. This task can be accomplished with a good set of shears or a hacksaw blade in about 15 minutes. Cost: FREE :hack:

Yeah I have tried it, and it works
The diffeence is very small, but if you have a tach you will notice on top speed.
I gain about 140 more RPM doing this, that's about 1 mph over before.

The spark plug gaping work better with a billet flywheel. It gives you more spark engergy, which burns more air/fuel mxture.

it will be fine since you're usually riding when it's running. you have to remember that these motors are designed to sit in one place when running at 3600rpm max.

i wouldn't. MDB will know if it's a good idea to or not for sure.

just an FYI, everything on the AGK site is for Honda GX and clone motors.
