Valve retainer cap

When I was chainging my springs out, my exhaust side had a valve retainer cap but now that I'm on my intake side I don't have one on there? Is this normal? I pulled the head off to make sure it didn't fall down but there's nothing.
I'm just confused any help is greatly appreciated thanks!

"Stock exhaust valve retainer. Replace the retainer on your intake valve with this one so you can use a lash cap on the intake valve. Using lash caps on both valves reduces side load on the valve and increase the life of the valve guides"

Based on this information I'm going to assume that the intake side doesn't have a cap from factory?

Right, you can use a exhaust retainer on intake but you need to put a shim under the spring. the valves are different.

^As they said, there is no lash cap on the intake valve from the factory.
