Is it okay to run a valve seal on the exhaust valve of a GX200? Will the valve stem burn the seal? The main reason I want the seal is to keep the valve spring centered over the valve guide while running relatively thick shims.
Well the seals are already in there and I hope not to take it apart again. I needed a seal on the intake because I was burning a little oil and hurting my $17 iridium plug and I'll just wait and see if my exhaust seal burns or if the oil keeps it cool. I machined new shims to fit on top of the seal instead of underneath them. I should've taken a picture.
