Vintage Hack Job

That's a Glenco Lil Gen. The frame is supposed to look like that, but the bars look like they were changed. I have the same bike and thought about shortening it. I'm glad I didn't, it's a very early bike (1963). It would have originally had a Clinton 4 cycle, with a single foot pedal to control the brake and gas. Pretty uncommon bike.

GlenCo was the Glen H Clemens Company out of Fort Wayne Indiana, which later turned into Manco.

Mark and Mark are both right about the manufacturer being Glenco. But yours might have been sold through Gambel Aldens. Glenco also sold their bikes through Gambel Aldens. Here are three models with standard throttle grip and brake. I suspect your bike didn't come with the foot pedal throttle/brake.

So we determined it's not a hack job! Nice find. Good thing Mark G called it out. LOL when we don't know what were sitting on. Happens to me all the time when I part bikes out and sell under priced.
