Vintage Taco killing the motor

In an effort to keep things as original as possible I wanted to reach out to you Taco experts and find out what was used for the kill switch on the Tacos . I don’t really see anything in the old literature that is in the pictures so I am assuming the metal tab method directly to the spark plug?

For the taller plugs, Briggs uses this one:

Sidebar comment to the OP: I appreciate your interest in "keeping things as original as possible", however.... in the interest of safety I would recommend that you add an additional engine kill button (or better) a kill SWITCH at the handlebars next to the grip for quick/easy access in an emergency.
