Wanted HS50 .010 piston and rings assembly# 34536

Thanks guys, the one for 52 bucks is what I may do. I have a std and a .020. One other option is a block on ebay for 99 cents I can still see hone marks but the guy could have run a hone thru it. Shipping is 31 bucks so either I gamble with 32 bucks or just buy the 10 over piston. You cant really knurl a chrome plated piston as the hard chrome will crack off. Otherwise that would have been a option.

They were all plated. You cant run aluminum on a aluminum bore it will gall up. I have ordered the piston so I am good. Phil the briggs cool bore motors also had to use plated pistons. In the briggs case they had both plated and unplated as the IC engines had cast iron liners and did not require the plated piston. All the HS engines as far as I know were kool bore type aluminum bores so all the hs pistons are plated.

Definitely not show chrome, I think it is refered to as hardchroming. There is no copper or nickel. Not sure how they deposit it but it is a hardchromed surface.
