Just picked up a vintage Briggs 5 hp flathead motor. Motor runs good. Carb was cleaned up not too good. I need a rebuild kit for it. I prefer a genuine briggs and Stratton rebuild kit. Which to order. Gerald.

I find this forum so much more receptive if you were to go to a website likes Jack's Small Engines, type in your model number, see what's available or at least get part numbers for what you need then use those to search.

If you run into issues rebuilding your carb or wanna share pictures of your "new" engine or minibike project this site is the place.

As I was typing this a more generous soul than me has asked a question to better help you. Maybe I'm cranky this morning or I've been reading and chuckling at @Havasu Dave 's recent responses too much but Google is your friend.

Yeah, Hi Frank. I was worse before the mental health meds. I'm a bit miffed that he ignored the solution offered by Jim Donovan to solve his Giant Problem of a clutch guard.

And the 85 posts he's made since July 6th are about the bike he says is "listed."

Anyway, sorry for the lack of rainbow colored unicorn smoke. I'll let you all go back to assisting him with finding a NOS BS carb kit so he can fix the carb on the engine that is running "good." :)
