It's important to specify - that bike would have come with a Briggs engine in 1969. After that, it would have come with a Tecumseh engine. There is a serial stamped into the front edge of the engine plate. That will tell you the model year
The #'s are usually stamped "lightly" on the top left corner of the engine mount plate. A wire wheel usually works well for removing the paint to be able to see them if their are any there.

Thanks for your help. What do the other numbers mean? I have a couple Tecumseh engines that are around that vintage.
I have a side popper or two as well.
