What is the Cat 300 XL?

Hello! I have recently discovered that there is a HPE/Muskin Cat model called the 300 XL. I found out about this model by discovering its decal on a chain guard one time.

I can't find any photos of this particular bike nor much info about it. If there is a photo of this bike, I've somehow missed finding it on this site. I would only guess the XL stands for "Extra Large" or something like that and that it is a bigger model than the other 300 Cats. If anyone could share more info about this bike and possibly a photo of the model as well so I could know what it looks like, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Purely a guess but I believe there was a long frame version of the 300. I believe it was the 300TT? Maybe they crossed over one way or the other?

Just a shot in the dark, but I’m wondering if it’s a rebadged 350SS? The 350SS was a long frame 300 series bike. Muskin was using different names for some of their bikes towards the end. Maybe they took the 350SS frame and renamed it XL?

Sounds like that could be a possibility. I'm hoping someone on here can respond and let us know what this bike really is and hopefully share a photo of it as well. I know there are big Cat collectors on here and someone on here must have one of these models.

Maybe that's the model I was thinking of? My memory is horrible anymore but dimensionally it was equal to a 400X but no rear shocks on the seat I believe?

So here is all the information I could find about this bike on this site. Someone made a post in 2010 remembering that he had one as a kid:
https://oldminibikes.com/forum/index.php?threads/new-guy-saying-hi.27854/
another post he made about it:
https://oldminibikes.com/forum/index.php?threads/new-guy-hunting-an-old-tiger.27863/

It looks like a parts manual was sold on eBay back in 2013 as a post was made here about it:
https://oldminibikes.com/forum/inde...ly-operating-inst-parts-list-mdl-300xl.86567/

And someone posted a photo of the chain guard in the official Oldminibikes Clutch Cover/Chain Guard thread:
https://oldminibikes.com/forum/inde...clutch-cover-chain-guard-thread.47266/page-13

And I recently added photos of the guard I have to my media section. So it looks like there is still no definitive answer as to what this bike is aside from the assumptions we are making. There are also no photos of the bike as a whole too right now. I really hope some info can be found about this bike eventually!
