Nobody? I have a after market cam for the briggs 3 - 3.5 and I was wondering if it would fit in a 4 hp?
Well does anyone know how much I suppose to torque down on a 3hp Briggs i/c rod bolts?

'bout 1/2 a horsepower!
The rod bolts need to be torqued to 110 INCH pounds...make sure you don't go "foot pounds" on this...won't last long.

I know little about little, but the 4HP engine I believe is the same physical dimensions as a 5HP engine, just smaller bore. I don't believe the cam will work for you...and what do you mean by "aftermarket cam" for a 3HP Briggs? Didn't know anyone made those!

Thanks lb I got a custom grind cam.
I was looking on this site to see rod bolt torque for the Briggs industrial 3hp but I didn't have the model #
Briggs and Stratton Connecting Rod Torques
It said 190in lb for cast iron.
Let me know if I'm wrong and if your right.
Nooooooooooooooooooo! That is for the bigger motors! I know the 130000 series is the 5HP line, so yours is probably a 90000 or 10000 series. I may have been wrong the 110 INCH lbs, as this list has 100 INCH lbs
