with 2 threads going and emails coming in i should let you all know what has happened and is going on . on july 9 2012 things took a turn for the worst ....

a great man was lost to the world . we stood by his side as he took his last breath .
surrounded by family and the things he love he passed at home . as were his wishes .

the rest of us moved out of the house a short time later . hard having to let the place youve called home for years go but no choice . as the costs to keep it going where beyond what i could handle .

but with dad gone mom moved out there was just too much for one person to take care of .

i miss you dad

im still here and do look at OldMiniBikes just havent logged in , not sure why just havent .

So sorry for your loss. That day is still awaiting me and I am sure until we lose a parent, no one can truly understand the loss. I actually thought of you last week while driving through NE ND. I bought a tractor at an estate auction in Langdon and my son and I drove it home. We came across at Drayton and headed over to Mn 75. As I drove by the piler stations I thought of you as you mentioned over a yr ago how you were injured but still worked at a piler. Our sympathy to you and your mom and hoping for time to do some healing.

Hi, I live 35 miles south of TRF. We came through Warren on the way home with the tractor and went up to the sale on 81 to Cavalier. Maybe someday we will meet in person, and if you are ever down this way, let me know on here and you can always stop by for a visit. No doubt you North Dakotans are like us and never call ahead, just drop in and expect coffee:smile:

Robert,
Hang in there- right now its the toughest time to deal with. Although you will never forget his passing (nor should you), with time, your sorrow and grief will lessen. I lost mine about 10 years ago and things I see almost everyday that (still) remind me of him. You can never prepare how to handle the loss of a loved one, you kind of learn as you go.

As you can see, you have a LOT of fans on this forum! You are one of the most talented members we have. (As you have fabricated NUMEROUS items for my son and I, I believe that I know of what I speak!). We NEED you here to keep educating us, "metal man"...
