white smoke after oil change....???

#1
I just changed my oil for the first time in my 6.5 clone. I tipped it forward (away from the cylinder) to drain old oil.

Pored some oil back in it, until it started pouring out of the dipstick hole.
went to put the engine on the lawn and start it up, and billows of never ending white smoke come out. with a ghostly vapor of oil trail down my drive (oily smoke staining my driveway)

My question is can I overfill the crankcase with oil?

It appears that what is happening.
any heads up is appreciated.

yes you can and it will smoke, they dont need a lot you can drain the excess and use wd40 or simalar remove the spark plug spray it in and just pull to turn over and use paper towel over hole. It will thin the oil and paper will absorb, then get new plug or 2. Fill to the correct level and start. then you mite need the second plug if it is still fouled. should be ok. Good luck. Phil
