I seen these Taiwanese bikes with a rear shock option and this frame has the rear lower mounts. I don’t have a seat or pan yet but I do have some shocks laying around. I just don’t know how functional this kind of setup is. What do you think.
Not a goofy idea at all! Some bikes came from the factory with exactly what you are proposing- Bird Duck, Bird Lark, Heald Super Bronc, and Cat to name a few. Research those bikes and pull up some photos for ideas on fabrication techniques.

Thanks for the encouragement, I'll have to dig around for some angle iron, but I think these piece maybe the beginning of a front pivot. Should the front be level with the rear?
The best part is I get to use crap I've accumulated thinking I might have a use for that someday. I picked that 17x10 piece of 1/2 aluminum plate up several years ago at an estate sale for 3.00 the price tag was still on it.
I doubt you'll want more than 1/8" to 1/4" rise from front to back of seat if those a typical spring shocks. Id probably wait until I had the seat mounted, block up the frame to ride height and see what feels good and looks cool, and back it up to a wall for that just in case feeling.
