For Sale: 1959-60 Yazoo Dragster Go Kart - No. 1642 - Untouched Survivor
Yazoo Mfg. Co. Jackson, Miss. Dragster No. 1642 - original foil serial tag intact on seatback (see photo), plus large original Yazoo Dragster decal.
Engine: Clinton Engines Corp. Maquoketa, Iowa - Model 4100 1101 - Serial 6533677 - Clinton Gem 2 3/4 Horse Power Cast Iron Sleeve - correct Panther A400 kart spec (4100 is the later number for A400). Complete with original red Clinton tank with diamond logo, Clinton oil-bath air cleaner, belt + chain drive. Turns over, as-found, I have not tried to start it.
Condition: - Hanging in garage for years, not sitting outside- Frame straight, no welds, no cuts, no rust-through- Original factory red paint, original decals/tags as shown- Scrub brake complete- Solid seat pan, original wheels
History: Sold new at Western Auto, Buckroe Shopping Center, Hampton VA. Early production Yazoo, No. 1642.
As-is, untouched, dusty survivor - perfect for preservation or light sympathetic resto.
