A huge loss. There isn't anything today that even comes close to the talent he was.

If you've never had the opportunity to see the legendary 1973 David Bowie concert film of the farewell of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders from Mars(originally released in 1983) check it out. The remastered soundtrack from the 2002 30th anniversary version is fantastic.

It definitely makes you appreciate just how great rock music was back then.

Dont forget mick ronsen's solo on moonage daydream. What is weird was ronson was terminal with liver cancer when bowie asked him to play at a freddy mercury tribute when freddy died. They did a amazing version of heros. It is on YouTube. Six months later ronson passed. Bowie was not at his funeral which pissed off a few of his contempories. Who knows. But both were amazing in ziggy stardust. Godspeed David.
