tecumseh hs40 oil level

I have an hs40 motor that is from a snowblower that I have converted into a motor for my mtd which has a slanted mounting plate, I've removed the long snowblower dipstick and replaced it with the shorter dipstick, because the motor is at a slant does it have any effect on the oil capacity which I believe is 21 oz, and if 21oz is still the correct amount should I just put the specified 21 oz in and make a full fill line mark on the dipstick for reference ?
