used aircraft stripper and went over fenders with rust remover.Sanded them brazed up the cracks on the underside and brazed on washers on the outside brazed around the holes and filled in the missing pieces,starting to polish
The rust remover I use is a acid detergent composition that lightly etches and neutralizes metal surfaces leaving a fine iron phosphate coating that enhances paint adhesion and inhibits corrosion.The phosphate coating restricts interaction with metal and etching primers should be avoided.

Lots of Lacquer primer on and sanded ready for paint.If i get some time this week will get some paint on it. The fenders are original little indian fenders going to start on them.
Started polishing last year,went away for a couple of weeks and somehow everything got rusted.I decided to take a break from it.Started to repolish took a long time to get all the pits out.Chromed it and put it all back together runs great starting on the frame
if you use the stock pork chop air filter you have to rotate a 1/4 turn.Dave Havasu use one in stock position ,cut a slot in lower section for cable and removed foam around the lever looked good
