35htec thanks for the reply. i've tried adjusting the float to various heights in incremental steps with no results. thanks for the download; it's newer than the manual that i have.

hi, since i'm new to this, please excuse any missteps. i'm having trouble with an old (198?) rupp. rebuilt the engine many years ago, when my son was younger; it ran fine then. now i've gone through it again ( cleaned carb, timed, good compression). it will start pretty easy and idle fine...
