Hello,Is the early 70's (squared off) or early 80's HS 40 interchangeable with the HS 50? Thanks

I will add since you didn't specify what your HS50 is, if you have an electronic ignition you do need to use the 1984-up shroud or you will have interference with the coilpack. But you can use the later model shrouding on the earlier points engines with steel wheel/plastic fan blades as the recoil location is the same, the later ones are just spaced wider on the top for the coilpacks to clear.
