    Jackshaft kit? Or Torq-a-verter?

    jack shafts are great if you need to manipulate a gear ratio or have the rear sprocket on the right side, tourque converters will give you the bottom end take off you want and the top end speed you need.

    what frame is this

    Carb issue

    make sure your gas cap is venting properly, excessive vibration can be causing tank pressure pushing the fuel through.
