1968 Briggs & Stratton

#1
Just picked up a 1968 original Sensation with 3.5 hp Briggs & Stratton. Very hard to start but once started/warm it runs fine and restarts easily. Any ideas on why so har to start? Appreciate some help:doah:

Well try cleaning the carb and check the choke, some like one pull with the choke then half off and it kicks. depending on your carb (in tank?) some times it takes a pull or two to get gas to suck up the straw and dump it in the bowl .

I have one Briggs (newer 3.5) that is the same way and is a pain to start when cold I gave it a quickly clean but it still is a cold blooded SOAB! I got pissed and mounted a straw in the air cleaner housing for a light shot of starter fluid (the straws that fit on the tip) Now she starts first pull. :evil_laughter:
