Now that I have bored you guys to tears with Mountains and Rocks I'm going to head south 100 miles to an area that has very good reviews. Known by two names Johnson's or Gordy's Hill OHV Area it has 250 miles of trails ( 9,000 acres) and is mostly hard pack. It will be a treat to get away from boulders for awhile.
I'm looking forward to sand,open desert hard pack, some mud and some really fun nose-bleed climbs and steep decent. It rates No.2 in NM as the best off-road motorcycle riding in the state.
I'll have to leave at 5 AM in order to get there before it gets too hot. No shade at all.
