B&S 5 HP new problem

Got the new needle and seat new gaskets and diaprham air filter 2 turns open on the needle motor will not stay running unless choked and ive played around diffrent setting too man Im getting PO ANY qlue

you have discribed fuel starvation check for intake leaks or clogged tank vent if this fails take the carb back apart and make sure all the passages are clean and blown out with compressed air then put it back together be sure the spring is on the correct side of the diaphram and that it is not folded or pinched funny

Thanks Ill do that I also saw grass or something in the tank so Ill clean out the tank cut the pickup tube off a put a small piece of tubing with a filer at the end theres no screen on the pickup tube I think its picking up debre

Realy bad dirty gas tank cleaned out need to get gasket maker tomorrow.
also Id like to know the pickup diamiter if I were to open up the hole and put a filter wiyh a larger hole am I going to screw it up ?
