Fox forks?

hey, all ... i've got a '71 or '72 Fox mini i've been working on and i wondered if anyone knew how the forks are supposed to be put together? there doesn't seem to be any spring retainers so if you lifted the front wheel off the ground the lower tubes just slide off. there are internal springs, that are bent in the same spot, but no external springs or cups. there are some small holes at the top and bottom which MAY be spring retainers but i haven't found any documentation yet. thanks for any insight you guys have!

hah, figured it out, they just weren't installed correctly. you turn the spring onto the internal pin to hold them in place. too bad they're bent from just being rammed in there, can't get them spun onto the bottom pins. will keep working at them, hopefully can get them seated.
