Question, How to disassemble Rupp Shocks

#1
Have a 68 Rupp Continental and I want to disassemble the front forks to clean them up and the rear shocks. I don't want to screw them up. Any photos or instructions to do this right?

dmeray1 I just did the forks and shocks on my Artic Cat and it wasn't too hard.To undo the fork springs I removed the wheel, then each fork has a little tab on the top and bottom.I just turned the spring till it came off the tab and it slid apart.Reintall the same way.To get the shocks apart I clamped the top of the shock in a vise. Then unscrewed the bottom mount, inside the tube there is a 3/8 or11mm cap nut.I used a ratchet with an extension to remove the nut and the shock came apart.Putting the shock toether I just reassembled the opposite of taking it apart.Getting the nut back on is a little tricky, you need to push down and compress the spring a bit to get the nut started.I think there is a picture of mine in my photos, good luck.Ray
