Rupp Production Numbers

I'm curious if anyone has any educated guesses regarding Rupp's mini-bike production numbers. I have two '70 Sprint rollers, and I'm just wondering how many might be left. Even production numbers on other models may give me some idea.

Speculation, anyone?

I was told from a knowledgeable source that 1971 was Rupps best year for bikes and it was 75,000 total of all bikes made that year.

Well, if you lost one percent of total production to damage or decay every year (750 bikes), there would still be 45,000 surviving 1971 Rupp mini-bikes and mini-cycles. I'm sure more got trashed in the '80's and 90's than now, as folks realize they may be worth something. Too bad these ID stickers didn't actually mean more than they do, which is basically zip as far as I can tell..
