Wanted: Vintage Tecumseh engine

[Mr. Tri-Shield]

Looking for a very early 70s Tecumseh for my Stellar Mfg. go kart project. 3 1/2 HP or smaller. Need one with a bolt on, carb side exhaust. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hey Mr. Tri-Shield,is this the type of engine you are looking for?
if so maybe someone here may have one to sell. you also can sometimes find them on ebay.

this picture is a 3hp. most side exhaust engines are 3hp ,but i have seen couple 3 1/2hp. little harder to find. even in my state(wi) 3hp easy to find. sears is probable one of the biggest companys that bought into this type of engine. for example lawnmowers with the rotating horizontal blades,snowblowers,edgers,paint sprayers..etc....

Yes, its similar, but I would need the exhaust to exit next to the carb. Ive been looking on Ebay frequently. Im sure one will turn up eventually. I posted a picture of an engine I missed on Ebay

i have one of those sitting around at my house the recoil is messed up but i have heard it run with starter fluid
