i started the same way. in 1972 i was 12 and all my friends had mini bikes. had to build my own. took a couple of years to get all the parts. it was a fox frame with front shocks. no breaks dings or damage. grandma donated her 2-1/2 horse horizontal shaft briggs lawnmower . all my friends had tecumseh 3-1/2 to 4 hp. never could keep up. built car and bikes all my life now im reliving my youth.
Born in the 50's had Mini Bikes and karts when I was a young boy. That tinkering, taught me mechanics. When I had Kids they had my mini. They grew up Racing Karts @ GVKC and a Suzuki Quad on my property. Now they have kids,my Grand kids.
