could the rectifier be bad and make it do this??? I have a wiring diagram and I know all my wires are hooked up right.

So I have a 1971 Ct 70 and I just finished restoring it. Put in all new wiring, batery and switches, except for the ignition switch. So I hook everything up and turn the key on and it blows that 7amp fuse. Now I have unhooked all of my front end connections to try and eliminate what is blowing...
