kind/size/thickness

Hello, i am building a minibike for my shop class from scratch, and i was wondering what kind of tubing would be best for the frame. I am leaning towards 1 inch square tubing with a 1/8th inch thickness. Does this sound like an adequate tubing for a frame? I am aiming for looks similar to a Rupp...
