I Found this, pull-out section, while filing away recent additions to my MC library.
The AMA used reprints from other publications of the time, for this “Special 16 page Section”.
Enjoy, if you haven’t seen this yet. I hadn’t.

Nice bit of a nostalgic read there Thom. There was a huge push back then among the MFGR and fan organizations to promote safety and hopefully gain acceptance. Looking back, it was a wasted effort, since no one really wanted ten year-olds to ride free like Peter Fonda, or "Jim Bronson." Even now, among us enthusiasts, it takes a lot of preventative maintenance to keep a lawn mower engine-powered, glorified bicycle running once the Grand kids have ridden it through a few fences and rose bushes.
