I picked up this 1961 Cushman Trailster yesterday since I have never owned one and thought it would be a fun project. It did come with another front fork and complete swing arm assembly, but unfortunately, nothing else. I do not plan to make it original, but I hope to get it on the Kansas streets again with an antique title. I will go with a Predator 420 or VC 460, which I already have, and a Comet 40 or 780.

What size tire/rim would typically come on the front and rear of these? Also, is the serial number on the front tube assembly what people used as the VIN when making them street-legal?

Thanks in advance for your help.
