Those are used on the Funder Wheel carts. it's just an extention with a serated belt drive clutch.

ive seen this B&S for a few months now on CL. i thought about contacting the owner "when" i had the funds but never did, i figured stay away (id end up buying it then come to find out i would have to find a new crank and so on and so on.....)

That must mess with the horizontal shaft engine rotation having a
vertical shaft engine's air cleaner on there. Maybe it's like synchro-balancing.

....It's got a standard 3/4" shaft hidden inside the extended aluminum housing there,
you undo the four PTO bolts and slide that extention off.
