$50 barn find.

My youngest son found it. Looks like they ran it outta gas and parked it. I put on a new carb, fuel hose, air filter, cleaned tank and fuel filter, changed oil. Fired right up and runs really good. I havnt seen 1 this complete in a while. Throttle stop screw was set at 3200 rpm.

I notice the crank was threaded with a nut and cotter pin. So no tav for that crankshaft.
I'm leave it as it for now and let my grandson beat on it for awhile. He'll find its flaws.

And the next best part aside from the price is it has the added frame support at the head tube. The earlier models had issues where the frame would break at the head tube. I've still seen them for sale with broken frames in that area but not as much, definitely something to keep an eye on, Great find!.

Yea, that's definitely a weak place.
I've reinforced my son's there, footpeg mount, and under the engine plate.
I need to do mine, but ain't had a good excuse to strip it down.
