Nice day out today so I got the Baja out that I just bought. New carb, new plug and fresh gas.
We are off and riding, what a pig, my grandkids will beat me on their doodle bugs

i put a torqe a vertor on mine it get about 45mph now

Have you checked the throttle travel and or the brake drag or the tire inflation? They aren't that slow. We own to many of them and its not a common complaint. Mine runs plenty fast and its totally stock and well worn out... It will vibrate your filling's loose...

Yeah ..check throttle stop...the stock gearing on those has low top speed..maybe 23 mph

Did all of that except the tire pressure. Will check that. Yes I would guess 20 to 23 mph. Maybe it seemed slow because it was about 38 degrees.

all I did to was tie the governor back and reset the throttle cable to pull the throtle wide open .
it carries me at 40 plus.
