I bought a used Bearkat in very very ruff condition , and have started the restoration process . i checked out axles front one was bent , that Took some effort to do as they are 1” OD . The back is very home made looking axle , I have a buddy that has a lathe , so I could drill a true hole for a 1/2“ fine thread .

Looks like better workmanship than the factory pieces...especially the original long axle, looks like their hole was off center.
Thanks I don’t think that is a factory axel . These Bearkats use trailer style hub system front and back . The is riding on Timken bearings , held at center with lock collars on each side of the axle . They use a free riding inner collar to ride against the hub seal held in by lock collars . On the back the hub is inside the sprocket with sprocket welded on top . With no way to remove it , I had too trim the inner hole of the sprocket out to remove the hub
