Bonanza BC1100 Front Fork Plating

Hello - New to the forum but I am restoring a Bonanza BC1100 and I am looking at the front lower legs and they appeared to be hard chromed. Is this correct?
Does somebody know what the coating is?

The OP said hard chrome. Hard chrome is different from what most people call "chrome", hard chrome is a dull silver color and not reflective.

Thank you all for the assistance, great forum. So ornamental chrome and not hard chrome? I guess I assumed hard chrome for abrasion resistance on the lower fork leg. It does not appear to be polished chrome from the old photos. Thanks again! DD

I have attached a photo showing a satin type or flat finish which is why I guessed hard chrome.

Crap! Thats polished chrome. Is that original? Are they available?
My springs and ends are stuck in place.

Re-pops. Made to original specs. Hent.com has the springs.

If they’re in bad shape just get them chromed. People use the chrome ones on any year. I was just telling you what the factory did. Sometimes the lowers are too shot to save.
