Just an idea someone might want to try.
The picture below is of a steel truck hub/axle cap.
.
.

.
I tossed it onto my bandsaw and with a few more strategically placed
cuts and bends, an "L" shaped steel or aluminum piece, and then a pop rivet or two,
I'll have my Bonanza lookalike guard.

....These caps come with a variety of names on them, or
they come just plain(like Bonanza's).

....Perfect project for a sunny afternoon.

i like it mac:thumbsup:it does look like the same style cover as a bonanza with out the letters.
you can make some cool covers out of just about any steel cover or bowl for your minibke projects:thumbsup:

delray,

Are you TIG welding those stainless parts. I only have MIG and limited brazing capabilities at home so far. Any recommendations?

justenough, i am just using a mig at home. i could use a tig at work(better). i just layed down multiple spot welds. keeping it from heating up to much and just little grinding and body filler to clean it up:thumbsup:
