I have a 67 Taco 99 Resto-Mod project in the works and want to build some Trail Tamers. I assume they are made of 1” tube and in a vintage ad they say the tube wall is .065. All I have to go on are Internet pictures which are helpful but I would like some known dimensions to avoid sizing mistakes. The most important info is the inside width and overall length of the “U” shaped tube link and the shock length eye to eye. The the bottom of the lower triple tree plate to the axle center would also be helpful.
Making 180 deg. tubing bends without an expensive bender and dies is not usually very successful. I found a cheap bender on amazon that claims to handle 2mm (.0787”) wall tube that may work. The problem might be that the 1” die 180 deg. bend I.D. would be about 6.85” and the O.D. would be 8.85” which may to be a bit too much? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
