Hey I am trying to find a good clutch to get for my 16hp Engine. I am trying to find a clutch that will be able to handle all the power.. What are some good brands to look for and get?

I'd say get a torque converter. For a 16 hp engine they get pretty pricey though. Even 1" regular clutches aren't all that cheap.

Torque converters are only good up to 10 hp
Negative. The comet 40 and 500 series are good to 18 and 16 HP. If you had a torque converter rated to 8 or 10hp then I would seriously reccomend a 40 or 500 series.

Oh, Yeah I just need to find a clutch because everything is ready just need the clutch... What are some kinds i can look for to fit the 16hp?
Check out the noram line of clutches. They are not cheap but they are good.

I will search for those clutches i will also think about getting a Torque converter, I already have one but i am not sure what series it is.
If it's contained on a backplate then it is a 30 series or something closely related. Which would be pushing it for that engine.

Clone 390 on a GTC TAV-2.. Motor is stock rated at 13 hp. Its rejetted with a pipe. I came here "after" I bought it and was told it would just shred belts, GTC was junk chineezie and wouldn't hold the power. It works flawlessly, I'd put this TC on a 420 in a heart beat. I got probably 10hr's run time on it beating the pi$$ out of this bike. I'm 245 and my buddy is over 260 and I can't keep him off it. It has the origional belt. I also have a "Comet" TAV-2 made here in Greater Richmond Indiana on my red bike, Next build will have a GTC, There's no comparison in the quality and I really doubt then GTC is all chinkeze or whatever, its all billet machined, the Comet is a casted looking mess
I am getting ready to scratch out a another with a 18hp Vanguard. I'd go with a GTC TAV-2 but I don't think it will fit with the fixed back plate, I know the unit will handle the motor just fine. You'd have a hard time getting me to go back to a centrifugal...JMHO based on what I have experience with, Walt

I am going to look into a Tav2, Because i think the torque converter i had was just too old and rusty it did not wont to work properly.. I am also going to look for a Noram and Hillard clutch because i think those can handle it.

nope, tried them both and they failed. your talking about a motor that puts out 19 foot pounds of torque at just above an idle. the tighter the clutch the more acceleration you will get,it's nothing like a 6.5 clone where you need RPM's to make HP.
You are saving money by buying a big motor, you can make 20-22 hp with out spending hardly any money on it where as to get that king of HP out of a 6.5hp clone you would need to spend over a grand in parts alone... then you would still need a good clutch! either buy a good TAV or a 3 or 4 disc clutch to start with...it will save you a bunch money in the long run.

I believe its suggested for 8-13hp, mine's the 1004 for a 1 inch shaft

GTC TC2 Torque Converter 1003 Gokart Minibike
Yeah that's a GTC. The comet is only rated 8HP, see here
They may take 13hp at a push, but 16hp is a no go.

Here is a great option for your engine-
Comet 500 series dirven- Only $28.50
Comet 500 series driver- $165.95
Comet 500 series belt- $29.95

Total around $230, $250 with sprocket and js but it would be a heck of a good setup!
JMO. Get a centrifugal clutch for $150 if you want. I dislike them.

Enough for a few 7/8" shafts here. Enough to do a few jackshafts too. Extra strength.
Sprockets can be found too.

If 3/4" wants to be used, for the sake of $100 I would make a shim 1/16" thick and get a key that is 3/16 x 1/4".

Just what I would do.

I am having the hardest time find a chain clutch for my 16hp engine.. I am thinking about just getting a TC. I already have the pulley I just need the part that goes on the shaft because the series i got will not work on the 16hp engine.
