Is this worth trying to get parts for or would I be better off just getting a new one?

I don't see the driver ... if the driven looks good, buttons are there I would lube it up and try it ...

No driver. This is all I've got. This is my first rodeo. What's a button? Also I assume I could get a driver that matches the shaft size on the engine?

you can buy all the parts you want for the tav, OldMiniBikes, bmi and others carry all the parts . in my opinion its cheaper buying a complete kit from ebay also I would get the tav with the 7 inch pulley and not the 6inch. the best belts are bando belts from beltpalace.com

The buttons in this picture are cream color.


So short answer ..

Buy a Chinese 30 series driver with the bore size for what ever motor your putting it on.

Always buy genuine Comet belts ... pick yours from the pictured chart.



Measure your driven outside diameter.
Measure the center distance between the driver and the driven and choose your belt.

*NOTE*
Your driver and driven need to line up.
the inboard side of both dosent move ...
Use a straight edge to make sure they do line up .. if they don't, shim them till they do.
