One of my kids has a CT100U with the stock 3hp engine. We've gotten some good use out of it in the year we've owned it but it has stopped working when it gets hot. We've cleaned the carb, replaced the fuel tank, added an additional in-line fuel filter, replaced the carb with a stock replacement carb and nothing works. It will start when hot but dies when you give it throttle. Doesn't matter if the choke is slightly on or not. Float bowl is full of fuel, has spark and valve lash is in spec. I'm running out of ideas. It has poor throttle response when cold but will run and he can ride it. It will run maybe 20 minutes and then stops accepting throttle.
I haven't taken it apart to look at the coil, but I guess maybe that's my next step? Looking for experienced ideas of where to go from here.
