Got the new jackshaft sprockets I ordered and swapped out the 18 tooth drive sprocket for a 23. The final drive ratio is now 6 to 1. Took it for a ride and it's much tamer now. The 23 tooth sprocket seems to be a good compromise between acceleration and top speed.
