Supporting Speed Nut!
#3
Engine RPM is the key to speed. The tire size also need to be set to the correct gearing, or vise versa.

If you gear it to low it will blast off and will run a high RPM. But the low gearing won't allow it to run a real high speed.

Now with high gearing you will take off much slower, and you will turn less RPM. But with the high gearing it will allow you to run a much higher speed.

High gearing puts more load on the engine.
Low gearing puts less load on the engine.

It works like this!
You setup is 12/60 gearing and turning 5,500 RPM
With 12/72 (low gearing) you will turn maybe around 6,000 RPM.
With 12/45 (high gearing) you will turn maybe around 5,000 RPM.
