I wanted to keep this & restore it, but another project needs attention, so it is for sale. The 3hp Briggs & Stratton on this early/mid 1960s Lil' Indian model 500 runs great. The frame does need to be stripped & painted, unless you like that rugged well used look. The tires are fairly decent condition & it has an added on rear scrub brake. Originally it came with a hand-lever operated rear disc brake that used the rear drive sprocket as the rotor. The bracket the caliper bolts to has been cut off. It could use a new throttle cable, but the one on it works fairly well. The seat is fairly comfortable & it has a red flamed sticker on it & it had a cut that the previous owner stitched up & it looks pretty cool. It also has a cup/drink holder mounted just in front of the seat. The seat has been moved back a bit & someone added 2 round dowels between the rear fender mount & the seat to stabilize it.
This would be a great "runner" as it is or the start of an awesome project. The Lil Indian is smaller in overall size that many of the other minibikes.
