Falcon scrub brake

I just bought a Bird Falcon yesterday...everything is fine except i had problems with the scrub brake sysytem....i almost have to put the foot pedal to the ground to even get it to slow down...i replaced the spring with a new one and it still has the same problem. The scrub pad flipped a couple of times over and locked the back tire up?? is the foot pedal too long?? should i try to fix the scrub brake system (any ideas) or should i try to change to a different system and what would you recommend?

Most likely the shoe is worn out or you have too small of a tire on it. You should have maybe 1/2 inch or less between the shoe and the tire.

I have 4.10/3.5 4 tires on it now......can i bump up to the 5" without having the change the wheels? i'm sorry very new to this....first mini bike, small engine....etc. but desperately wanting to learn.

The last # is the size of the wheel, so you'd have to change wheels.

And the scrub rear brake could get in the way if you go larger so cheack first. :thumbsup:
