Nearing the end of my 2018 Build Off project in the Just for Fun category. I have a bunch of pictures posted under the project Glory Days.
Wanted to get feedback on front/tire rim option on the MB 165 frame I started with and customized.
Specifically: I updated the old front suspension to a Honda set up that will allow for a front drum brake and speedometer connection. That change allowed me to go with a much thinner tire upfront. For now I'm using the 18" tire and rim combo that came from the junkyard with the forks. Ive lowered the back end also and now I have a "big tire" look. Some people like it and others think its awkward looking.
So take a look and let me know your thoughts on keeping the 18" rim on the front or if you think I should go with a 16" spoke rim. Ill try to add a picture with the 16" rim tonight if people are turned off by the 18".
Thanks and all feedback is welcomed good or bad. I need to get it done and running by the end of the night tomorrow.
