Frankenstein Scrambler

#1
Hey OldMiniBikes,
I've got this already modded Rupp Scrambler. The motor won't start, it had less than 20psi compression and during a leakdown test it is blowing a whole lotta air out the exhaust.

I've got 2 question has anyone stuffed a GX160 into one these and since someone pulled the jack-shaft and torque converter and directly connected the clutch to the drivewheel. Do I need to go back to a Jack-shaft torque converter setup or can I run this but need to make sure I have a certain number of teeth front and back.

Is there a certain rule as to number of teeth a front sprocket and rear sprocket are supposed to be? It doesn't look like I'll be able to go back to the jack shaft/converter setup. The previous person welded caps on place of where there would have been a J/S running through. I'm just going to keep the current setup but needed to know if there is a certain ratio I need to stick with? The tires are 90/90 -12
