Just picked up this old sears snowblower behemoth with a lighted H70, heavy is an understatement lol. Surprisingly the tires are also in great shape and appear to be old Carlisle as well. This is one of the very few snowblowers I'm aware of that had a vintage minibike era motor with a lighted coil. Fully plan on pulling all the usable goodies and scraping/ repurposing the rest; you can argue these old blowers are more dangerous than minibikes lol.

Before you scrap the rest of it, there are guys on here who use those as engine work stands.
That would be a good use for one with wheels to move around. I can get an almost unlimited supply of newer less cool snowblowers for that. My plan for the main body on this one is to remove the auger housing, and all the guts, then use the frame box as as a weight box welded to a cat 0 3 point mount for plowing counterweight. My brother needs one currently. The frame box will be perfect for this. The sprockets, chains, and clutch, bar stock and keyed shafts will also get re-used in something eventually. Ha, idk if I'm feeling motivated enough, but when I was younger I usto cut fenders for minibikes out of the curved front portion of the auger housing to lol.

Harvest everything. It's made of much higher quality metals than anything made today.

On the tires, look on the inside of the tire and see if it has markings.
Have a few from Carlisle that only have the Indian Heads on the outside. Used them on hand trucks and snowblowers.
Have harvested the belt covers to use as chain guards too.

Nice score!

Will do, I don't know much about old tires but I'll look. That's also a good point about chain guards. I plan to bench test the motor this weekend while it's mounted, then I'll start pulling it apart and I'll post some pictures

You were Correct, only one side stamped lol, but atleast there on split rims so removing the tires will be exponentially easier

Got done testing and tearing apart the snowblower today, carb is rough but it runs good on spray and the headlight worked, so charging coil is good. Also came with the pto shaft end drilled, standard size, with an old mercury bran's clutch on it in 35 pitch. See pics for everything I saved lol

That's a nice group of parts from one machine. That lighted motor will be nice on a mini, looks like a fairly low hour machine. I like those red grips, if you decide to part with them, I'm your man for those.
There's some marring from the pliers I used to remove them. The handle bars on the snowblower are a larger diameter than most minibikes, I happen to have a sears drover with the larger 7/8 tubing so I saved them for foot peg covers. Shipping is always the tough part lol. My brother deals with small engines often and I tell him to let me know when anything minibike related comes around. I have been saving a lot of tecumseh engines over the past 5 years, eventually the supply of old tecumseh engines even up insnow country will run dry like the rest of the country.

You already have the frame I'm going to pick up when I find one local. I want to build myself a red and white 60s campus.

I know there is a fella that reproduces the fiberglass tank/ seat and fenders for the fox campus bikes. I contacted him at one point about them. Cost prohibitive for me at the moment though, they are unique bikes. Red and white would be cool, there always blue lol
